In June, television lost one of its greatest treasures, Anthony Bourdain took his life after suffering from years of depression. CNN, the home to Anthony’s show Parts Unknown, is teaming up with the same production company that produced the show, to bring us a documentary about the chef’s life.
Vanity Fair reported that the film is “in collaboration with Zero Point Zero, the production company behind Bourdain’s television series.” The details are still unknown about the documentary, but we will definitely be tuning in.
CNN executive Amy Entelis spoke about the film, saying: “As well as we knew Tony, because he did reveal himself in the series, there was still a hunger to know more about him, and to honor his work and celebrate him. The documentary format became one of the more obvious ways to go.” Entelis added, “We want to make it exquisite for Tony. We want to do him justice.”
