This year there will be two museums opening dedicated to the legendary designer Yves Saint Laurent. The museums will display some of the designers most iconic designs, with looks into his career and life. The dynamic buildings will be opening in Morocco and Paris- both places have significance to Laurent; Paris is where he studied under the masterful Christian Dior, and created a career for himself, and he retired in Marrakesh-where he stayed until his untimely death in 2008.
The museum in Paris will be Laurent’s former office and atelier for more than 30 years. Visitors will experience his studio refurbished – just as it was when he would sketch his nights away. The building will also be able to hold up to 20,000 couture pieces! The Paris museum will make its debut during Paris Fashion Week!
