New York Fashion Week: Nana Judy

Inspired by youth-culture, art and music, Nana Judy showcased their Spring 2019 runway collection on Thursday September 6th at Spring Studios. Based in Australia, the design house showed a very futuristic collection. Titled ‘Alive’ the line was based on the evolution of the brand throughout the years.  As the lights dimmed and the modern music started playing, I couldn’t help but feel that I was in for an amazing show. Filled with metallics, dalmatian spots and pops of color this collection showed their signature style with a few surprises – including an actual dalmatian on the runway!

I adored how there were many garments adorned with shimmery hardware. The collection itself was very chic, and futuristic with a modern feel, heavy hitter models like Winnie Harlow and Shaun Ross graced the runway in pivotal pieces in the collection.

I enjoyed this collection and feel that it was a great take on upscale streetwear. I think that it was great to not only show the diversity of the garments, but of the models as well. The different ethnicities of the models made for an amazing show! This was a great show filled with diverse clothing and models!
