We recently caught up with CEO & Founder of Love Leia Cosmetics, Azure Dailey. She sat down with us for an interview, and to give use the latest updates on her makeup line.

Since we last spoke you were starting your business, what has changed?
Since we last spoke, I now have launched a total of 11 liquid matte lipstick colors.
Can you tell me more about the day-to-day responsibilities of your business?
The day to day for Love Leia Cosmetics are unpredictable! There is a lot of work that is done behind the scenes that people don’t know about.
Those are only some of the tasks that receive my attention daily. I had to bring on the help of my mother and sisters. Love Leia Cosmetics has become a family affair. I am beyond thankful for their help; I would not have been able to balance my day to day tasks without them.
What new products have you developed since your last interview?
Lips and Lashes is still the focus of Love Leia Cosmetics however, I do have a surprise product I will be adding to my collection. It’s something I am super excited about ! We aren’t ready to reveal the new product, but I will say my customers will not be disappointed
What are your goals going forward with your business?
My goal has always been to make customers feel confident and become aware about what is in the products they decide to use. Therefore, it is important for me to sell products that are paraben and cruelty free. I consider makeup an art form of expression. You can wear as little or as much as you like. You can play with the different colors to create new looks. Its about having fun, feeling confident, and falling in love with what you choose to wear.
What do you attribute to the success of your business?
I give the credit to God, my customers, and supporters. Without them, Love Leia Cosmetics could not continue to grow. It’s also important for me to stay focused despite the many obstacles running a business can bring.
What is the most rewarding aspect of creating a cosmetic line?
The most rewarding aspect is being able to wake up every day knowing you are doing something you love. I chose to sell cosmetics that I personally would use and wear. I love the idea of knowing I’m sharing products that I truly believe in.
Who do you consider your top competitor, and why?
I consider Love Leia Cosmetics its own biggest competitor because, we learn from our mistakes and we fix them for better results. I don’t consider success a race or competition. If you are focused on mastering your craft with consistency, whatever that may be, in my opinion, you are already a winner.
I think every cosmetic company has their own set of supporters and clientele. I try not to compare Love Leia Cosmetics to other brands because we are unique in our own way. We attract clientele that love the brand and everything it stands for without hesitation. I think we all have room to become successful with something that we love, but only the strong survive. Focusing on your opponent or competition only distracts you from your own creative thinking. It stops the brand from growing.
Tell us about your biggest accomplishments with your business thus far?
I consider launching and maintaining Love Leia Cosmetics for over a year my biggest accomplishment. Turning an idea into reality is an amazing journey. You learn so much during the process.
Do you still see yourself opening a beauty bar for Love Leia Cosmetics?
Absolutely! This is actually one of my long term goals. Love Leia Cosmetics are a gateway to a bigger vision. I would like to see my brand grow worldwide.
