Revlon has been making some great power moves lately, they recently named Gal Gadot as a new face of Revlon and now they are getting more diverse with curvier models. Now let’s be honest, lipstick doesn’t have a size, but it’s very uncommon for us to see curvier models fronting campaigns for major cosmetic brands. Well now our favorite plus sized model has been offered a contract with them! Ashley Graham is the first plus sized model to be offered a contract with Revlon and we are absolutely loving it!
When Graham was approached about her new gig, she told WWD “You’ve been slowly seeing [curvy] models pop up in makeup campaigns, but you haven’t heard of any actually signing contracts, and I think it’s because [companies] just want to get their feet wet. It’s like, ‘Hmmm, let’s try this bold curvy thing now and see if it’s real or see if it’s a trend. The average American woman is a size 14 and if you ask me, lipstick does not have a size.”
Graham leaped at the opportunity to be apart of this brand, when she was offered a contract by Revlon global brand president Anne Talley, she was excited! “My affirmations are, ‘I am bold, I am brilliant, I am beautiful,’” she told WWD.
