Earlier this month, we were informed that Rihanna would be teaming up with LVMH to bring us a new luxury line under her famous label Fenty. This was a major win for Rihanna, as she is one of the most multifaceted moguls in the fashion and beauty industry right now. Rihanna was also #winning with this collaboration because she is the first woman of color to team up with LVMH.
The singer introduced her fashions yesterday at a pop-up shop in Paris and there were a slew of attendees, including her family, beauty and fashion influences and many of her friends, were among the first people to try the collection first. Rihanna wanted to make a line for women, not just biological, that could be enjoyed.
“I think women are moody in general and dress according to that mood. I’m like that and the clothes reflect that,” she said. “I don’t want people to conform to one area to shop in. Whoever comes in and likes it should buy — it’s for any gender.”
The pop-shop in Paris will be open until June 2nd and the full line will be available on May 29th.
